Playing D using RHS side key (#11), LHp1 (left pinky) does not properly sharp
When I play a D using the the RHS side key (#11), LHp1 (left pinky) does not properly sharp it like it does with any other key combo. Can this be fixed? I learned on an AE-30 where it works, and it is sure nice to be able to play a D# scale without having to switch octaves.

As the NuRAD is of the EWI and Steinerphone family, it follows EWI fingering (and Akai EWI sax type fingering) down to every detail. That said, there is an extended version of the EWI fingering put in the NuRAD, called EWX. In EWX fingering the range is extended upwards by lifting LH1, and downwards by touching RHp1 (see fingering chart). Hope that will work for you!
