Re: What is a CV version?

CV stands for Control Voltage. These versions of the NuEVI or NuRAD have "CV outputs" which mean they can be interfaced with modular synthesizers.

Re: What is a Lipo?

Lipo stands for Lithium Polymer (battery). It is essentially a version of the NuEVI or NuRAD that allows you to recharge it rather than having to keep installing new batteries.

Re: "Hanging" notes

Some things to try: * Re-pair the Panda system. To put the NuRAD in pairing mode, swipe a magnet over the area where the Panda transmitter is located. The LED should start blinking fast. Press blue button on receiver. They should pair up on best available channel with red LED glowing on both units. ...

Re: "Hanging" notes

Typically this should not happen and there’s no setting for it.

A few questions… Does this only happen when playing wirelessly? Does this only happen on one certain Synth or plug-in?

Re: NiHM rechargeable batteries for my NuRAD

Any decent quality 1.2V NiMH AAA batteries would be good. Many people have recommended the Eneloop Pro batteries for their capacity and quality, so those would be a safe bet to get. Remember to set the BAT TYPE setting in EXTRAS menu to NMH for most accurate indication of battery level in the NuRAD.

Re: The key LHp1 has stopped working

In the menu go into “adjust” and then scroll up to touch sensitivity. Tap on that key and see if a dot is moving at all. You might need to move the threshold in there more to the right so that dot goes to the left of the threshold when you touch it.

Let me know how that goes,

Re: releasing the left thumb from the octave rollers

You are not the only one using this aspect of the traditional EWI roller handling for triggers and commands. In the latest version of the firmware (1.5b9) there is added a menu item for choosing between roller handling modes. It is the ROLLRMODE setting in SETUP CTL menu. Mode 1 = Highest touched ro...

Re: the volume of the notes being played is very low

Most NuRAD/NuEVI players prefer the amount of breath pressure required to be very low.(so as to not at all really tax your lungs) .. It offers you to have extreme ease of control over the dynamics (volume) of the sound you are playing while not taxing your lungs really at all. Investigate the breath...

Re: How far forward do I go with my mouth on the mouthpiece?

The metal piece you see at the end of the mouthpiece (I think you are referring to as the bumper) is actually an additional sensor. It is called the lip sensor (or extra controller) ... while playing you have the ability to touch this sensor with your lip. The value amount of MIDI data of a particul...

Re: Can I use my teeth directly on the bite sensor mouthpiece?

Yes, that is the intended way to play. The reason is that there is a bite sensor (you literally bite down on the mouthpiece to initiate a custom MIDI control. It very assignable to MIDI control parameters.
