I'm having trouble finding the battery compartment.

I read the manual. I am obviously missing something. Do you have a picture that shows it? I have unscrewed the top panel with the keys. Please help.

The battery compartment is in the front of the instrument, under the Berglund Instruments logo etching. Under the top piece with the etching, there is a ladder shaped piece of plastic making sure the batteries can’t go out out position. Lift it up to access the battery holder. This is given the NuRAD is the standard model with 3xAAA battery power. If it has the built in rechargeable LiPo, the internal covering is flat with a hole for charger LED to shine through. In that case, to charge the LiPo, just put the power switch in middle position and let the instrument sit connected to USB for about six hours for full charge. It will reach 80% charge in 2–3 hours.
