Re: Controlling my synth volume from the NuRad

I think you will need to set the pinky key to be a switch between a and b.

Otherwise it’ll always just play a extra

Re: New NuRAD with wireless not working

The latest version of the NuRAD WL has switchable power to the wireless transmitter. The NuRAD power switch has three positions where the rightmost is ’OFF’, the mid position is ’ON’ and the leftmost position is ’ON+wireless’. In the leftmost position you should be getting another LED lighting up in...

Re: Unable to staccato tongue.

There is a technique (some users find a little tricky at first) but when you get used to it, it enables you to control a NuRAD or NuEVI with maximum nuance. It is common for first time users to have an initial instinct to blow air into the mouthpiece with tightly sealed lips. For best results, you s...

Re: confused between the CVC and CVC+CVX option

Really good question. No, the CV signals are analog signals and will be ignored by standard MIDI devices (basic synths, wireless MIDI tech, etc).

Re: confused between the CVC and CVC+CVX option

The NuRAD has 1 onboard CV output (for Breath CV only) .. see page 6 (#21) of the users guide: https://berglundinstruments.com/downloads/firmware/1.6.1/User%20Guide%20NuEVI%20and%20NuRAD%20v1.6.1.pdf This onboard CV output can be directly connected to any analog synth (that can accept CV inputs) But...

Re: What is a CV version?

Typical control output interfaces (for most wind synthesis) is done through a standard MIDI port (5pin DIN or USB) ... (so essentially, they are just MIDI controllers) ... MIDI is a digital protocol (which sends control data at a finite resolution) ... for a lot of players and listeners, MIDI is fai...

Re: Micro Tonal tuning

The NuEVI and NuRAD are MIDI controllers. Standard MIDI controllers transmit standard scale data. So any efforts achieved in light of microtunal tuning would have to be done on the tone generator side (which does exist in some environments.)
