Re: updated the firmware to 1.6 on my NuEVI. Now the left-hand touch sensor does not work.
did you do a factory reset after the update? If so, the automatic sensor calibration on reset was probably thrown off by the K4 key being touched. This is easy to fix by going to the touch sense settings and moving the THR bar to just left of the sensor dot cluster. Right now it’s probably far too m...

Take a look at this portion of Curt Sipe's video based version of the users guide on his YouTube channel The EWI Den. https://www.youtube.com/@ewi_den.

Re: Lip sensor adjust dot is all the way to the right.
I've heard of another user with similar behavior. They performed a factory reset which seemed to help.

Re: Lip sensor adjust dot is all the way to the right.
The sensor dot all the way to the right tells me that most likely the extra controller is shorted to ground somewhere. From experience I would say it is most likely in the fastening of the mouthpiece aluminum bar and the plastics encasing it. In the lower end of it, near the display, there is a scre...

Re: Is there a glide strip for the roller octaves?
The NuRAD does not have a glide strip the same way as the EWI 4000 ... left hand handles octave rollers (exactly same) ... right hand has vibrato thumb pivot and pitch bend (up and down) .. the vibrato thumb pivot and pitch bend can be MIDI assignable to various MIDI CCs.

Re: Too hard to blow
You will need to go into the adjust settings for your breath and adjust the MAX adjustment lower. Go into: Ajdust > BREATH Click [Enter] twice (so that the MAX threshold is blinking) .. now use the [ DOWN ] button to adjust the MAX threshold lower. You will want to experiment with this to your liking.

Re: Can the screws that hold down the keys be removed
The keys are intended to be easily removable (without a nut or something underneath falling and rattling inside). The Pinky keys are printed using a conductive PLA. You can custom 3D print versions that better fit your hands.

Re: confused between the CVC and CVC+CVX option
Currently there are two Berglund custom Eurorack modules (CVX, CVC). The NuRAD/NuEVI uses two of the unused pins (from the 5pin MIDI out) to send out the CV signal for note and breath. The CVX module processes this signal for separate outputs for Eurorack modules (note, breath). the CVC module provi...
